The Locker Room Billiard Café’ will NOT be open in time for the City Championships, but they are setting up a temporary location while they wait for the final permits to clear in order to get their certificate of occupancy.
The address of the 2015 SDAPA City Championships is 5630 Kearny Mesa Rd. #A, San Diego 92111. The new location is the same property owner as their current lease, but it’s in the next building right by Olhausen Billiards. For those that are familiar with that area, it’s the old Furniture Warehouse building. They have 14,000 sq. ft. of space that they are renting to make sure we can complete the event on schedule. The owners at the Locker Room are committed to hosting league play and our City Championship tournaments, and regardless of the hurdles that have been placed in their way, they have risen to the occasion to clear them and stay on the path of putting on a great tournament. They are moving their pool tables to this location, which is a huge undertaking.
We aren’t stressing over this, so you shouldn’t be either. This location will have plenty of space for the teams, plenty of seating, plenty of parking and plenty of hot pool action, as teams try their best to qualify for the National Team Championships in August.
Because this is a temporary location for the Locker Room, it’s rather impossible for them to have their kitchen set up, but they have already contacted several food trucks that will be available for food service during the entire event. The Locker Room will be providing beverage service for the event, which will include soft drinks, coffee, water, beer, wine and some mixed drinks that are similar to what the Hungry Stick used to serve before they got their full liquor license. NO OUTSIDE BEVERAGES ARE ALLOWED TO BE BROUGHT INTO THE VENUE. Please enjoy one of the many selections provided by the host of our event.
The pool tables are the same pool tables that were at the Hungry Stick, but you won’t recognize them. They have been refinished and the cloth and rails are brand new.
Please inform all of your teammates of the change in venue. We look forward to seeing all of you at the City Championships.
We will be doing all of our normal stuff at this temporary venue. We will have MVP, Perfect Sessions and patches on site both weekends. We will have City Championship shirts available. Dave Whitsell will be doing cue repair both weekends.

North County Coastal- 805S to 52E to 163S to Clairemont Mesa Blvd exit. Turn Right TWICE immediately onto Kearny Mesa Rd..
North County Inland- 15S to 163S to Clairemont Mesa Blvd exit. Turn Right TWICE immediately onto Kearny Mesa Rd.
South County- 805N to 163N to Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Turn L onto Clairemont Mesa Blvd and Right on Kearny Mesa Rd.
East County- 125N to 52W to 163S to Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Turn Right TWICE immediately onto Kearny Mesa Road.
There are hotels close to the venue for anyone looking at lodging options, both at the 163 and 805 freeway connectors on Clairemont Mesa Blvd.
