Our sincerest thanks to everyone involved in helping us with the event. That includes the Hungry Stick, Quality Billiards, the numerous referees and staff that worked countless hours to help us make these last two weekends something to remember for many teams. The 3 point scoring system was extremely successful. 4 of the 5 final round matches in 8 Ball came right down to the last two players and 3 of them came right down to the very last game to determine who would go to Nationals. A full write up can be found on the home page of our web site.

The new MVP program is up and running on the web site and there is a link on the home page explaining how it works. A few people have emailed asking what PPM and PA stand for, and they are Points Per Match and Points Available. As you accumulate points based on how many 9 ball points or 8 Ball matches you won or got to the hill, a percentage will be generated based on how many points you earned to what was actually available.

It is now after the 4th week for all divisions. Any players added to your team must pay their membership fees before they play. Anyone added and played that does not pay their membership fees will have their fees paid by the league office, and the team will be marked past due and will be responsible for those fees. If the player is paying by credit card, be sure they submit it prior to the time we print score sheets for your next match.

The APA Ladies 8-Ball ChampionshipThe Ladies divisions are starting back up on June 25th (South Bay) and June 27th (All other areas). We are currently taking sign ups for new teams. Teams consist of 3 to 5 players with 3 playing in each match. We would also like to get a Friday night Ladies division going in North County. Please call the office if you are interested in starting a team or playing.

Please take more time to double check that the score sheets you are submitting to the league office are completely and accurately filled out. Writing in the wrong player number, either by accidentally switching numbers or putting the wrong player info is one of the biggest problems we deal with. Not adding up the total innings in a match is also a major problem. It probably takes all of 10 seconds to count up the total innings in a match and write it in the total innings box. Failure to submit a complete and accurate score sheet could result in loss of bonus points. It is also important to make sure the people keeping score in your matches understand what defensive shots are, and how to mark them appropriately for each instance.
